My wedding day was July 18th. Marcus has done weddings for others in my company as well. He took control and became a wedding coordinator it seemed. Made sure that the whole head table was taken care of, was a great go-to guy for questions for the banquet facility and most importantly, was an AWESOME DJ! He played to the likes of the older crowd, requests, playlists and then target the younger dance crowd in the evening. He even set up outside before the reception to handle the ceremony!! Recently I approached Marcus to see if he would donate his services to a young lady with a life threatening illness. You see I work for Kids Wish Network and we grant wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses. I am working on a wish for a young lady from the Chicago area whose wish is to have a Quinciañera party for her 15th birthday. Marcus immediately agreed to help with his DJ services and gave me information to give to the young lady so she could start building a library of songs for her special event. Marcus helped us make our big day the wedding of the century. He especially helped me when I was stressed out about all the details in creating an "itinerary" for the evening. After interviewing multiple DJs for our wedding, we selected Marcus from Chicago Mobile DJs because of his professionalism, promptness, and experience in the DJ industry. He was one of the few DJs that is a full time DJ (not a side business) and this experience really made him stand out. We were very impressed with how Marcus followed up with us (via email and phone) months before the wedding to check in, as well as right before the wedding. Our wedding was this past July 24, 2010 and we couldn't have been happier with how our reception turned out--and a big reason for the success was the music/DJ. From the beginning of the reception (when it was time for guests to dance) the dance floor was packed and it remained that way until the last song of the night. Marcus even played an encore song after the final song because everyone was having such a great time. He did a great job of making sure all of the speeches and key events that need to happen ran on schedule and really kept the party going on the dance floor by playing great music. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night and commented on what a great DJ we had at the reception. Even my Dad commented "I don't who found that DJ, but he did a great job." Better Then Expected!

So when it came down to our wedding, I was a bit afraid to just pick a DJ of the website, but after seeing if my date is still available on the website, and having Marcus call me, I knew that I was talking to the right guy.

Then I got a little worried for the fact that it wasn't him playing at my wedding, it was his partner. (DJ John). When we practiced our first dance in the 30 min we had before people were getting there, we started having trouble to the song as we must have practiced to shorter version on youtube, and they had the original. He fixed the song right away and was ready to go by the time our dance came around. The song selection was perfect even after us running out of time to fill out the like and dislike song list. He played everything perfectly without a single break in between. Was ready to go before we even got there. It was truthfully the best experience in the world, he even had the servers from the banquet starting to dance around while working.

Everyone said they were wonderful! He even was able to download songs we wanted to hear right on the spot and play them right away. I will come back to them on every occasion for sure. My husband and I were very picky about the music we wanted to hear for our wedding and we actually sat down one day and picked all of the songs we wanted to hear. Marcus did an amazing job of playing our most favorite songs at the perfect times. He also threw in a couple songs that were perfect at other times, such as during cocktail hour, which were very classy and jazzy sophisticated. It gave my wedding such a perfect vibe. He was also more than willing to take the requests of my guests. My wedding turned out great! Of course it helped that my guests rocked but I owe a lot of it to Marcus for pulling it all together. I am so glad I used Marcus. He handled our reception with the upmost of professionalism even with the crazy situations that occurred. He had the equipment and knowhow to appease all of my guests including the guest singer that was last minute. He felt out the crowd and played songs that kept everyone happy and dancing on the dance floor. I don't believe the dance floor was empty the whole night.

The lighting he used in each room of the Mansion was just the right touch of romance.  The entire dance floor was draped in a beautiful blue that took me back to my wedding on the beaches of Negril, Jamaica.

I only wish he could have been there for that part... We could have danced the night away two times.

Marcus was everything we could have asked for in a DJ. His price was very reasonable and you can tell that he genuinely loves his job. He checked in with us multiple times before the wedding to make sure that everything was going smoothly and to see if we had any questions. Marcus from Chicago Mobile DJ's is INCREDIBLE to work with. Marcus was the DJ at our wedding a few weeks ago and blew me away with the quality of his service, his responsiveness, professionalism, cost, and more importantly his talent and demeanor. Marcus was originally recommended to me by a friend who used him at her wedding. She had nothing but good things to say about him. From the moment I called him I knew that I wanted to work with him. He was very professional, but also easy going. As someone who is very organized and anal I was very impressed by his online website which allows you to input the music for the event from start to finish and make different play lists (must play, do not play). ALso, although Marcus has what seems like a bazillion songs in his music inventory, if he does not have a particular song and you request it, he will add it. I also had a very long engagement and Marcus would call from time to time just to check in and see how things were going. I was amazed by how well he treats his clients. Needless to say the day of the wedding I was blown away. Marcus was able to read the crowd perfectly and knew what songs to play where. The dance floor was NEVER empty. He was very friendly with the guests and even took the time to seek out the photographer and the day of coordinator and made sure that nobody missed any important moments (cake cutting, first dance, etc...) He would literally walk around telling people "O.k. time for the first dance" etc...to make sure everyone was around. He really did go above and beyond his "DJ" duties and i would highly recommend his services. I know that if I ever happen to need a DJ in the future I will definitely call Marcus.
